Sisters Helping Sisters was born from a simple but revolutionary belief: that every woman, no matter where she has been or what she has walked through, deserves to have her pride restored, her dignity honored and her self-worth affirmed.

A community where every woman who walks through our doors walks out with a roof over her head, a career in her hands, and a home she can call her own.
Sisters Helping Sisters Community Foundation serves women facing housing instability, many of them leaving crisis, domestic violence or poverty. We meet each woman with respect and walk at her pace, pairing practical support with real relationship.
Our work is whole-person by design. Safe housing, career readiness, mentorship, education and wellness are not offered in isolation, but woven together so a woman can move from where she is toward where she wants to be. On May 29, 2026, we opened the doors to our Fresno home, joined by District 2 Council President Mike Karbassi and community partners, and the work of restoration began.
